The Last Weekend: Some Thoughts

Loki1.jpg

It’s a long road revising for the coming week. I remember well how it feels: a mixture of nerves, but also the anticipation of the coming freedom on the horizon.

Everyone approaches it differently. I liked to lightly read notes over the weekend and perhaps do one or two more part A questions - that’s what worked for me.

It’s up to you to figure out what works for your final weekend before the exams.

I wanted to briefly write an article to wish you the best of luck, and to urge you to stay positive and keep going - give the best representation of yourself this coming week. Use all of your skills and knowledge you’ve learned since joining the profession and revised in the last 6 to 8 months. Your job next week is to put it down on the paper. Give a good account of your ability and you really can’t ask more of yourself than that.

In the exam, try to stay cool, get into your rhythm and put your technique into motion. There are always unknowns with examinations, and I don’t mean to minimize them, but try not to let them distract you from staying focussed on what’s in front of you.

A heart felt thank you for taking part in the blog over the course of this last 25 weeks. It was great that we managed to raise £610 together, which equates to 19 MacMillan Nurse hours.

I hope it’s been helpful - I’m all ears for what could be better.

Now -

Go and smash FD1.

Andy
